My recent stay began with a late lunch, where the attentive staff ensured every detail was spot on, making me feel right at home after a long journey. Dinner was a standout, featuring a selection of local ales, including the renowned Jail Ale, accompanied by dishes that celebrated regional flavours without pretentiousness. The atmosphere echoed rustic charm, heightening the dining experience. Breakfast continued impressively, showcasing high-quality ingredients that elevated typical morning fare into something special. Although my room was compact, it provided comfort and an inviting respite from the day's adventures. I ventured outside for a brief stroll and was met with breathtaking views and wild ponies - an enchanting reminder of nature's beauty. The Rock Inn is a gem I'd revisit, ideally for a longer exploration of the area.
